The Tra Vigne Cookbook
Cooking as a celebration. It's all about friends, family, the earth, and its harvests. That's what inspires me to cook and I wrote this book to inspire you to cook along with me.

These are dishes that exemplify my style of cooking: great ingredients, simple preparations, and dramatic presentations. I use seasonal ingredients because that's when they explode with flavor. When you use ingredients this good, your cooking can be simple.
The recipes in this book draw on my memories of growing up in an Italian family and a lifestyle that celebrates the bonds of family and land. The seasons and harvests of the Napa Valley where I now live infuse the dishes with abundance and generosity. I am a chef but I worked hard to make these recipes work for the home cook. It is my hope that this book will inspire you to cook for your family and friends, making the circle around your table grow wider and deeper.
